Alleen voor een boodschap bij de dichtstbijzijnde winkel mag je 's ochtends tussen 6.00 en 10.00 uur je huis verlaten. Onze vertegenwoordiger Arzoo zit op dit moment ook thuis. Het kantoor in Nepal is gesloten. Zij is het aanspreekpunt voor alle reizigers van travel Nepal die in Nepal op reis zijn. We hebben haar gevraagd om haar ervaringen over de lockdown en de huidige situatie in Nepal te delen. At my office, we were preparing for the tourist season where the tourist inflow and movement is higher than any other time of the year. The airlines, tour operators, hotels, Trekking and tour guides were hopeful and excited to welcome the spring season for tourists. However, all these expectation and hope were shattered with the sudden outbreak of Corona which was later declared as Global health crises by WHO. It was around at the end of January when we realized the occurrence and spread of this virus can have a majoreffect on tourism business. Tourism is one of the major sources of economic growth when it is about Nepal. On 23rd march, Nepal Government officially declared the strict lock down to be followed throughout the country in order to minimize the risk of COVID- 19 spread and to ensure the safety of Nepali Citizen. We Nepalese consider our self lucky that until now there are zero deaths inside the country and the positive cases are found to be only 16 (status 16 April) in number and all of these affected people
